I am not stating 07scape does this flawlessly, or that things are more balanced, but it is 100% clear 07scape, like most other MMORPG’s, is far from a RS gold skill-based game, or an instant-action kind of game.

We do not have constant action-packed fights, in which one misclick, dodge, missed ability, or 0.3 minutes late press of your R-key can break or make a 5v5 teamfight, such as in League of Legends.

We do not have many clutch moments, including in Battlefield / CoD, where a tactical decision and placement of Claymore traps paired together with your own position can get you through a 1v4 successful.

Instead, 07scape gamers find their pleasure in incremental gains. Gradually working towards a next level, a landmark, a new unlock (the fishing guild, or another Kind of NPC to pickpocket, or a much better food source, or big unlocks such as obtaining the Warriors Guild using 130 att+str / access to Duradel at 100 battle, or the advantage unlocked at 83 Disadvantages for a jewellery box + greatest pool combo)

Sure, its not fun per se. But it is gratifying. And thats an Integral aspect of pleasure as well:)

P.S.. In addition, this is why most people say the most FUN part of the sport is PvM. In places like CoX, ToB, Inferno, or GWD, or Skilling-wise the Sepulchre. In these places, you receive a number of that action-packed and skill-based articles the game has to offer. And its a different type of FUN than your”I simply achieved 83 hunter, today I can get glories”-gratification, or your”Ultimately finished complete graceful” achievement.
