Lake Stevens high schooler wins a ‘Madden NFL’ national title. LAKE STEVENS — Calling the kicks and making the big plays is what has 16-year-old Jair Velazquez receiving acclaim on the virtual football field madden 22 mut coins. Following a six-week season that started in early march, Velazquez qualified for playoffs in his tournament’s top seed and was quick to take on his opponents in the process of getting to the final match.
On the 23rd April, it took just under 1 hour Velazquez to take control of the best-of-5 finals to win the championship. Internet delay and a persistent younger brother posed more challenges than his rivals.
Despite his roots as a Lake Stevens Viking, Velazquez was able to dominate the tournament with the Green Bay Packers. MVP player Aaron Rodgers and star wide receiver Davante A Adams, along with the team’s speed which made the style of play ideal, Velazquez said.
It was not an actual Super Bowl, but tens of thousands of people watched the live broadcast of Velazquez’s performance, and a replay of the contest has been logged more than 340,000 views on streaming site Twitch. Officials from Washington’s high school esports association believe Velazquez is the state’s first Esports national champion mut coins cheap. While the pandemic kept kids apart, video games at Lake Stevens High School experienced a renaissance.
