Pretty much. The 200 system isn’t 100% perfect (the most significant issue is that OSRS Gold prayer is not considered) but it is superior to the previous system in scaling players. However, the 200 calculation was a bit flawed in a way that it could not escape – nostalgia.

Poll responses are largely fueled by nostalgia. The nostalgia of players growing in the era of certain combat strategies is what drove them to want it to continue. However, nostalgia is never a good reason to implement any kind of change. There are many reasons to support the 138, but they are not directly nostalgic. Another reason is the familiarity. It’s odd that the 200 calculation is in use for nearly a year.

I write an email to this sender, stating that Jagex discovered me and that I will no longer use their services (and I don’t really intend to), or email them. Jagex sends me a second email shortly thereafter. Jagex (which I believe to be the real Jagex) informs me that the first email was sent by a fake person who was hiding their Jagex address. It said they wanted to steal information to my account, etc.

This is a scam. Is this an ad? Have you received an email that Cheap Old School RuneScape Gold threatened the possibility of a lawsuit from Jagex? I found it odd that they would email me like that without even telling me any past appeal to my account was rejected. And those of you who are aware of what Jagex is like in 2012… would they even try to sue me over simply giving my account away? Surely that would do them more harm than good.
