Tadact 20 mg is a medication that contains the active ingredient Tadalafil, which is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Tadalafil is a type of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor that works by relaxing the blood vessels and increasing blood flow to certain areas of the body, including the penis, which helps in achieving and maintaining an erection.
Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION): NAION is a condition characterized by sudden vision loss due to decreased blood flow to the optic nerve. There have been rare reports of NAION in individuals who have taken PDE5 inhibitors, including Tadalafil. Therefore, people who have a history of NAION should avoid using Tadact 20 mg or any other PDE5 inhibitor.
Retinitis Pigmentosa: Retinitis pigmentosa is an inherited eye disorder that causes gradual vision loss. Since Tadalafil affects blood flow, individuals with retinitis pigmentosa should avoid using Tadact 20 mg, as it may exacerbate the underlying condition and lead to further vision problems.
Severe Vision Problems: If you have any other severe vision problems or eye conditions, it is crucial to discuss them with your healthcare provider before using Tadalafil. They will assess your medical history and eye health to determine if Tadalafil is safe for you or if an alternative treatment is more appropriate.
