Poxet 90 mg (which contains Dapoxetine) is primarily used to treat premature ejaculation (PE) and does not directly induce erections like PDE5 inhibitors (such as Sildenafil or Tadalafil). However, if you are taking Poxet 90 mg along with erectile dysfunction (ED) medications, there is a risk of priapism (a prolonged erection lasting more than 4 hours).

When Can Poxet 90 Mg Cause a Prolonged Erection?

If combined with ED medications – Taking Sildenafil (Viagra), Tadalafil (Cialis), or Vardenafil (Levitra) along with Poxet 90 mg can increase the risk of priapism.

Overdosing – Taking more than the recommended dose can lead to adverse reactions.

Pre-existing conditions – If you have sickle cell anemia, leukemia, or multiple myeloma, you may have a higher risk of prolonged erections.

Interaction with other medications – Drugs that affect serotonin levels (such as SSRIs, MAOIs, or certain pain medications) may interfere with normal sexual function.

Alcohol or recreational drug use – Alcohol, nitrate-containing drugs, or substances like cocaine can lead to unpredictable reactions.

What to Do If You Experience a Prolonged Erection?

If your erection lasts more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical attention, as priapism can cause permanent damage to the penile tissue.
