The Grand Dubai Frame

The Dubai Frame is an observatory, museum, and a very famous monumental destination located in Zabeel Park, Dubai. It is the largest frame in the whole world with the building’s height being 150.24 metres and width being 95.53 metres. This Dubai frame serves as an observatory that will give you majestic views of the old Dubai situated in the north and the newer parts of Dubai situated in the south.

The idea of Dubai Frame was initially conceptualized by Fernando Donis through an architecture competition by ThyssenKrupp and Dubai Municipality. This idea was then selected as the winner of a design competition by an international jury. In this blog, we will learn a bit more about the Dubai Frame, Dubai Frame Location, its timings, and more.

Design of The Dubai Frame

Did you know that the Dubai Frame was known as Al Berwaz Tower in the beginning? The Dubai Frame has been made with glass, steel, aluminum, and reinforced concrete. The designs of the logo of Expo 2020 have been embedded in the outer facade. This frame has been positioned in such a way that visitors can see the representative landmarks of modern Dubai on one side, meanwhile, they can view the older parts. Moreover, an observation deck has also been set up on the top of the frame which has glass bottom floors that look down to almost 150 meters onto this building’s lower span. The space between the pillars is a symbolic bridge that shows the past and the present with two glass-bottomed floors at the top of the frame. You can simply visit the Dubai Frame official website to learn more about the frame and how it is designed.
