I would envision a massive complication to meseta pso2 that involves a lot of the makeup from the Japanese side of things which were exclusive to collaborations, promotional events, and events which no longer exist. The instance I can think of is that the Dragon Hunter Frontier Z cooperation where I could imagine the clothes and weapons could definitely be provided a visual update alongside everything else but that I do not exactly know how the licensing or how the legal side of this collaboration functions where I’d wish it was as easy as Sega going through and upgrading the resources but I don’t understand about just how much Capcom is involved in that procedure.
The same applies to collaborations such as the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration with Odin (which still exists as far as I know) where I don’t know how much Square Enix is involved that for Sega to have the ability to update assets there. If it was only just Phantasy Star-related items (such as character outfits, cameos from different games, or alternative Sega-related possessions ) I could envision that this probably would have been done, or at least would be done. But from the worldwide version we already don’t have the presence of Cougar NX so that I don’t exactly know if there are other complications seeing Sega’s properties that might also contribute to not updating everything they could within reason.
I can envision that probably out there we will still see someone wearing those old collaboration items even when they are not awakened to the very same criteria as new cosmetics in a similar way and that there would have been outrage when it was made obsolete or unusable. Collabs that have experienced their makeup removed nevertheless have their assets exist on the game so those will likely still be accessible for jp players.
Only improvements we will probably see is the new engine improving shadows, reflections, colors, particle effects and projecting them against the outfits. You may have a look how just implementing better shadows and colors can improve old equipment by checking ReShade screenshots. I affixed all my gear during the previous boost week a couple of months ago, but I do not recall it being too costly overall. I believe I spent approximately 20m in total for all of that. The most expensive fortify was definitely Phrase Weak, though. Thanks again for buy Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta sharing. I think this along with the kyo video has motivated me to eventually combine some armor particularly since the circaray could be taken forward. I’ll likely only do 3 augments. I checked my stats and I’d around 3.5k with shifta beverage shifta item and alliance shifta. It took about 15 minutes to get.
