It is clear 2K wants to compete for some marketshare with other aggressive marquee names somehow, but we still have yet to observe a 2K21 MT functioning matchmaking platform (even at a casual sense) and let us be real – 2K is cover to win. There’s not any argument against that – micro transactions DIRECTLY impact gameplay – that is true and it’s been a problem in the past couple of decades. After 2K16 I stopped buying the games, but with large adjustments promised this year I purchased 2K19… And wow.

Ahead of the 2K fanboys measure in, let us look at this in a different light: Imagine if you had been playing Overwatch and to be able to perform your placement matches, you needed to sit in one of Numbani’s spawns and watch like 3 complete games before having the opportunity for playing each time AND hazard forcefully out. And then when you start playing, in order to cater to the input delay you need to adjust your response time. On top of this, because you decided you didn’t want to spend additional money in the game but your opponents failed, D.Va’s nuke is buffed and obliterates the whole map or some dumb shit like that.

Sounds ridiculous doesn’t it? You believe if that were the situation the game would have done? This is exactly what 2K gives us now, folks buy it anyway because”well.. At least it is better than nba live lol” after which we read the very same complaints annually before the hype train starts again. Why? To explain, at its core I truly have appreciated TakeTwo’s basketball games. With demonstration and animations, 2K has become an great basketball sim and there is not any other sport like it at the present time.

It’s time. It is time to do away with the”got-next” playground system. It’s time to fix the fiasco that is pay-to-win and the input lag. It doesn’t work. We KNOW it doesn’t work. People should not be awaiting 84 years for a JRC match and no one cares about free drifting around a shitty area which offers zero value comparatively into a normal menu. I totally know the complaints about small nuances with cheesing animations and tiny glitches in-game and shit, but we are overlooking fundamental issues which other big titles just don’t have. People are spending money in your game to play it, not to wait 45 mins for a game of playground with the chance that you may enjoy it.

TakeTwo – it is almost fucking 2019. Give us a match with a few true price. At this point I’d get more pleasure. 2K is obviously competing for marketshare but game is crap to other titles using a competitive element because of shit servers, pay-to-win system, delay times that are enormous and exceptionally pointless neighbourhood environment.
